The NEW Radio Communications Template is now being used. The effective date was Dec. 15., 2010. Observations by area chiefs prompt the following reminders: 1.Users should pay close attention to the talk groups to which you have been assigned. 2. Chiefs and Officers please ensure that all personnel have been made aware of the template changes. 3. At least in the early stages, there seems to have been some misunderstanding regarding the Medic talk groups. "A" sounds like "8" so that 8A sounds like 88 and the crew ends up on the wrong talk group. Until procedures are reviewed and any needed change takes place with the Dispatch Centers, please ask for clarification.
