The Alliance Advantage
The Miami Valley Fire/EMS Alliance (Alliance) is a Council of Governments organized under the O.R.C. 167. Membership fees have not changed since the Alliance was formed in 1991. Voting/Full Members are in Greene, Montgomery and Warren Counties. Associate and Affiliate Members are located in the above counties and throughout the state of Ohio. Currently, there are 22 Voting/Full members, three Affiliate and four Associate members. The Alliance was founded to encourage cooperation among the fire departments to save the departments and taxpayers both time and money. Since the beginning, the Alliance has strived to serve its members through new initiatives and programs. The "Alliance Advantage" brochure listing current programs and bids is posted on the website.
While the Alliance is evolving, the mission is as significant today as it was in 1991. By providing cooperative regional training with firefighters and law enforcement, educational opportunities, entry level testing, promotional testing, assessment centers, strategic planning, health insurance for part-time employees, wellness and fitness programs, cost-savings on equipment and services and much, much more, the Alliance has the Advantage.
